After a mix up telling the cab driver on Lankowi exactly which harbor we wished to go to (note: there are 2, at opposite ends of the island…) we exited Malaysia to Koh Lipe via the rather picturesque Telaga Harbour. A far better ferry ride this time (we could escape outside to fresh air and sunshine) and we arrived at Koh Lipe.
We figured it wasn’t far from the immigration shack to Gecko Lipe, but sadly our map was a little outdated and we definitely took the scenic route (past the power station and tip no less)!
However, once we settled in at Gecko Lipe we had a great time beaching it up! Thai pancakes were a winner, along with some delicious Thai dinner food.
